Ad Hoc tactical communication network is a distributed network.The network nodes establish communication links through the dynamic networks in a short time,which contributes its application to some scenes requiring fast dynamic networking.In this paper,referring to the USAP protocol in the link layer of other military's WNW,we mainly study the design and implementation of distribution TDMA-Based MAC protocol for Ad Hoc network.It is of great practical value.Firstly,this paper studies the algorithm of distributed TDMA MAC protocol which mainly includes the transmission scheduling and distributed slot assignment in multi-hop network.The typical dynamic TDMA protocols are listed.In order to study the next work,it focuses on analyzing the USAP protocol,USAP-MA protocol and ASAP protocol.Secondly,based on the classical USAP protocol framework and the IEEE 802.11 protocol,we design a fully implement USAP protocol,which includes the design of frame type and frame format,the design of the slot length and distributed local slot algorithm as well as the confirmation of the relationship between the key parameter of protocol and network topology.Thirdly,to satisfy the requirements of ad hoc tactical communications network fast dynamic networking,the E-USAP protocol which adapts to dynamic topology is proposed.By employing a distributed slot assignment method schemes,the proposed protocol reduces control information exchange cycle by increasing the number of control slots in the frame structure,and can respond quickly to dynamic topology changes.The analysis and simulation indicate the reformed protocol can reduce the networking time under the conditions of static topology and present a good performance on throughput and delay.It can also better respond to ad hoc network topology changes under the conditions of dynamic topology.Finally,aiming at the USAP protocol implementation,a synchronization strategy is designed to realize the slot synchronization.Then,it designs the overall module of the protocol,writing the specific function of each module and the key technologies drawing the module flow chart.It builds the protocol implementation environment in the E34-TTL-100 and linux platform,the test results show that the protocol function can be achieved.
