Special as the channel-sharing approach in Ad Hoc network is, the MAC protocols based on the fixed network or the cellular mobile network can not satisfy the need of Ad Hoc network. Therefore, designing a channel access protocol which applies to Ad Hoc network is much desirable. Now, the dynamic TDMA protocols reflect a lot of advantages in Ad Hoc network. After analysis of dynamic TDMA, how to make nodes share the limited wireless channel resources more effectively was studied and simulated in this thesis.In this paper, two typical dynamic TDMA protocols, the USAP and ASAP, were introduced. Based on research of algorithms of the two protocols, the disadvantages of them were analyzed. According to the disadvantages, an improved dynamic TDMA protocol which applies to multi-channel network was put forward. Besides, the frame format, the principle of slot assignment, and the processes of selecting slot, assigning slot and releasing slot of nodes were presented, and the methods of detecting and solving collisions were given. Simulations of the proposed protocol were done with network simulator by way of building simulation models. At last, by analyzing and comparing the simulation results with the original protocols, the improved protocol can shorten the access delay effectively.
