In the past 30 years,the development of digital technology has become the biggest motive force of Radar technology.Digital Array Radar represents the modern Radar technology,as well as the leading edge and direction of Radar development especially in the field of Radar implementation.DAR has many characteristics,i.e.wide dynamic range,easy to realize multi beam,low loss,high reliability,etc.So it has gradually become one of the important means of targets detection.The continuous development of the actual demand makes the DAR target detection not only to obtain a higher resolution,but also put forward higher requirements for real-time performance.The article is based on the project of “Antenna Array Technology for XXX”,and mainly discusses the research work of DAR real-time target detection technology,including: the research of active/passive mode target detection,design of the DSP array platform,design and implementation of moving target detection algorithm,optimization and implementation of DOA based on MUSIC algorithm,the key technologies of DOA design and implementation based on sum-difference beams.Firstly,according to the task of target detection in the project and combined with radar active/passive mode signal form,working frequency,sampling frequency,and radar index,analyzed the requirements of active-passive radar real-time targets detection.Secondly,for the algorithm complexity of the problems of new radar,selecting one multi-core DSP with high performance,designed a high performance DSP array platform based on VPX standard.For algorithm,in the radar active mode,according to the characteristics of target detection based on long time integration,designed the process of target detection including data preprocessing;according to the relationship between distance and integration time,proposed a new method of moving target detection algorithm based on segment distance which can meet the real-time requirements and succeed to reduce the amount of computing time as well as effectively curb the range migration problem.While in the passive radar mode,taking radar characteristics and sampling frequency into account,and as for improving the reliability of the detection results,used two different ways to realize passive target detection;in order to improve the efficiency of the MUSIC algorithm and meet the real-time requirements,proposed a new spatial scanning method;with regard to real-time requirement,designed a fast target detection method in frequency domain based on sum-difference theory.At last,presented the implementation of the radar active/passive mode target detection and proposed a optimizing method for the platform.
