Intelligent Transportation System(ITS)plays an important role in the Internet of Things. It has become an effective way to improve the performance of transportation systems and enhance travel safety. So the research on the collision avoidance radar is very important. Therefore, the subject of this thesis adopts the array radar of FMCW system as the research object, and the radar target detection method is studied in depth. The radar system is studied by this thesis. The working principle of frequency modulation continuous wave radar, the system structure and signal model of the receiving channel multi-array radar are analyzed.Because of the shortcomings of common multi-channel radar, the existing multi-period time-division multiplexing method and its signal model are analyzed. In order to solve the problem of longer data acquisition time,a single-cycle time-division multiplexing method is proposed, and its signal model and spatio-temporal coupling problem are studied. In the aspect of signal processing, the two-dimensional FFT method to measure the distance and velocity of the target is studied, the resolution and the solution velocity fuzzy method for the FMCW radar is also analyzed. In terms of direction finding, the performance of the traditional MUSIC algorithm is studied and analyzed-Because of the poor performance of the MUSIC algorithm under low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR),a spectrum estimation algorrithm based on spectral peak separation is proposed, which can achieve the direction finding and distinguishing of the targets with smaller distance under the condition of lower SNR.In addition,a low-complexity and super-resolution angle and delay estimation algorithm is proposed. The space-time smoothing technique is used to sequentially estimate the delay and angle without Matrix factorization to reduce the computation.Under the MATLAB simulation and experimental verification,it is verified that the algorithm can achieve better results under low SNR.
