With the rapid development of enterprise information,the number of servers in data center of the Shenhua Ningxia Mine Group is increasing,which has led to enhance Complexity of equipment and business management as well as caused a great waste of resources.The solution of management in the traditional data center is that the number of new physical servers depends on a number of new application systems.This solution is unable to demand the requirement of data center.Researching on technologies of server virtualization,the author described the situation of data center and analyzed the existing problems firstly.With the objective of establishing a private cloud platform,then analyzing important aspects of design about data center such as storage planning,network planning,server virtualization functional design,server virtualization management function design,and security design,this paper perform the design of a private cloud platform based on server virtualization in data center of Shenhua Ningxia Mine Group,moreover list of item involved hardware and software devices is shown.In order to verify the feasibility,effectiveness and security of the proposed solution,the author use two IBM X3850 X5 servers to build private cloud platform based on server virtualization and install Citrix XenServer software,integrating existing storage and network resource.The P2V migration was completed with eight application systems including dispatch report subsystem,coal quality management system,system management system,OA approval system,three-dimensional system interface program,ERP reverse analysis system,three-dimensional system,and ERP BI database.Virtual machine snapshots and snapshot recovery,virtual machine template creation,high availability,workload balancing,virtual machine self-service and other functions were tested and analyzed.The special functions are tested such as Virtual Machine Snapshot,creating model of Virtual Machine and Load balancing.Through analyzing the result of tests,it is verified that the proposed solution of Citrix server virtualization can not only meet the basic requirements of the business system,but also make the cloud platform system stable.This private cloud platform design reduces the maintenance cost of the data center,as well as improves the efficiency of data center management.
