Uncooled infrared system has the advantages of portable,light,relatively simple design and high performance-price ratio,so it is widely used in the field of Close proximity detection,security monitoring,industrial temperature measurement and other applications.Based on the project of "Infrared Signal Processing System Based on FPGA",this paper reviewed the development history of infrared system,investigated the classification and working principle of infrared system.For the detector from guangwei corporation whose module is GWIR0202 31 AF,we completed an infrared imaging system.And this infrared imaging system can complete image acquisition,image processing,image display and so on.Due to the process and material of infrared detectors the infrared images have the problems of blind pixels and non-uniformity.After a lot of literature research and comparison,using the method of neighborhood average to complete the blind compensation,two-point calibration algorithm to complete the nonuniformity correction and dual platform histogram enhancement to enhance the image.In this paper,the principle and steps of these three image processing algorithms are analyzed in detail,and the FPGA implementation scheme of these algorithms is designed.The implementation of these algorithms are verified in the actual imaging system.The experimental results show that these algorithms can be very effectively improve the image quality.This paper completes an FPGA-based uncooled infrared signal processing system that can display the infrared image sequence with clear detail,diminutive non-uniformity and no dead pixels.The frame rate of the infrared image sequence is 50 frames / s,the image size is 384 * 288,the size of the Signal processing system is 65mm*65mm*70mm,so the uncooled infrared imaging system is lightweight and portable.
