The mobile communication has been booming in the world.International Telecommunication Union estimated that 5G will be commercially available in 2020.AAS(Active Antenna System)is the key technology in the whole 5G mobile communication system.The design mind of 5G antenna comes from the framework design of phased array antenna.So,the parasitic sidelobe and the deviation occurs due to the use of digital phase shifters.Therefore,the research on the influences of phase errors is very important.The main research in this thesis is listed as follows:Firstly,based on the general error formula,the thesis researches 3 robust modifications of the random phase quantization methods and analyzing the effects of 3 random phase quantization methods.Secondly,the two probable value method(2PV),the mean phase error-to-equal zero method(MPEEZ)and the phase-add method(PAM),are compared by improving of the beam-steering accuracy.Thirdly,it is found that the phased-add method has the best effect on improving the accuracy of the beam-steering.Fourthly,enlightened by the design of the digital filter,the thesis adopts the window function methods to decrease the parasitic sidelobe level,comparing the effects of the Hamming window,the Hanning window,the Blackman window and the different Kaiser windows by using the computer simulation.It is found that the Kaiser window function has the better performance of decreasing the parasitic sidelobe level than those of any other window functions'.According to tweak the parameter,the Kaiser window can balance the relationships between decreasing the parasitic sidelobe level and increasing the lobe half-power beam width of the main.Lastly,the thesis uses the mind of subsection to optimize the random phase quantization methods.According to the certification of the computer simulation,the function of the optimized random phase quantization has obviously been improved.
