In some non-linear systems,when the input signal and the noise reach a certain "matching" relationship with the system,a synergistic effect is exhibited between the noise,the system and the signal,so that the energy of the noise is transferred to the signal.And the noise-enhancedeffect appears,this phenomenon is "stochastic resonance(SR)." Based on SR,noise is used to improve signal processing effects,which is of great significance in the field of signal and information processing.In this paper,based on multi-threshold array system,the SR in TCM coding and decoding is studied.The effects of SR in bite error rate(BER)and mutual information are discussed respectively.The main work is as follows:Firstly,the BER is used as a measure to study the SR decoding performance of TCM codes through a multi-threshold array system under Gaussian white noise,and the effect of Gaussian white noise on SR is demonstrated.On this basis,the influence of the change in the number of multi-threshold array elements and the threshold spacing on the phenomenon of SR is further studied.It is found that the more the number of multi-threshold array elements is,the more obvious the SR is,and the lower the minimum BER;the appropriate threshold interval can induce the SR and improve the decoding performance of TCM code.However,SR does not exist while the threshold interval is within certain ranges.Secondly,mutual information is taken as a measure.By calculating the mutual information of the input and output TCM signals of the multi-threshold array system,the change of mutual information under Gaussian white noise is discussed.The occurrence of SR and its efficacy were studied under different multi-threshold array elements and different threshold intervals.In addition,under different parameters(number of multi-threshold cells,threshold interval),the noise efficiency under the measure of BER and mutual information was compared.It was found that SR exists under both measures,but the corresponding specific parameters are different.Finally,based on the symbol error rate(SER),the transmission effect of the English text information is studied in the TCM coding and decoding system based on the threshold array,and the text transmission performance is improved by using the effect of the noise.Furthermore,the effect of text transmission is given under different multi-threshold array units and different threshold intervals.Simulation results show that the more multi-threshold array units,the lower or even close to zero the error rate;the larger or smaller threshold interval the SER of the text transmission is larger,and at the appropriate threshold interval,the SR efficiency is better and the SER is lower.These results demonstrate the applicability of SR efficacy.
