Research On The Development And Influence Of Chinese First Chess Computer

Many documents and videos show that Harbin Institute of Technology has successfully developed the first dedicated digital electronic computer in C hina that can speak and play chess.It took 56 days from August to October in 1958.It was developed by professor Chen Guangxi,professor Wu Zhongming and professor Li Zhongrong,who were the founders of computer science and technology major of Harbin Institute of Technology,and led many teachers and students to participate in the research and development.At that time,was the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China,the domestic computer industry had just started.As soon as this computer came out,it immediately caused great repercussions in the scientific and technological circles across the country and became a technological model.First of all,the research situation in the computer field and artificial intelligence field at home and abroad at the early stage and at the same time of the successful development of chess computer is studied.According to the development context of "computer model-mechanical computer-electromechanical computer-program control computer-electronic computer"and the background of the birth of artificial intelligence since the 1930 s and 1940 s,foreign computers are sorted out.Combined with the development of domestic computers,the key technology nodes are analyzed.The development course of domestic artificial intelligence is mainly discussed.Secondly,the overall process of the development of chess computer is studied.From Mr.Hua Luogeng's idea of chess computer research in 1957,Professor Wu Zhongming's study of mathematical principles and des ign of logic circuits to 1958,teachers and students worked together day and night as well as the successful development of the exhibition sent to Beijing and the following year to improve the many details of these three years and the process.Then,the technical parameters and mathematical principles of chess computer(China)and NIM machine(USA)are studied.This paper analyzes the machine structure,component model,logic diagram and operation principle of the chess computer.Moreover,the mathematical principle,body structure and operation mechanism of NIM machine are combed.On this basis,it focuses on the relationship and difference between the two aspects.At last,the influence and enlightenment of the successful development of chess computer was studied.It mainly includes two aspects: the impact on computer science at Harbin Institute of Technology and the impact on the national computer field.And the enlightenment mainly includes three aspects: technological innovation stems from the combined effects of various factors such as science and society;the construction of research team model has a very important application value;reference learning from fusion and innovation is the road to powerful country.Through the research on the development and influence of China's first chess computer,we have further improved our understanding of the early development of China's computer,updated our understanding of the beginning of China's artificial intelligence and have important reference value to the scientific research level in the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China,most of all,this dissertation has important implications for the scientific research and the development of science and technology in modern society.
