With the popularity of LCD TV and improving the quality of our people's cultural life,people no longer meet the needs of traditional cable TV,and seek for better television programs with interactive and participative features.In this context,as a major reform achievement of TV technology,the promotion and popularization of High Definition Television(HDTV)is a rare opportunity,but it also faces many difficulties.S.Radio and Television Networks Company is an important company providing TV services.But nowadays the market development of its HDTV is not good.The reasons are that market research is not systematic,there is no accurate market positioning,and marketing strategies are not targeted.Therefore,it is of great practical value to study the market development of the HDTV business of S.Radio and Television Networks Company.In this paper,using the method of field investigation,literature research and other research methods,it first analyzed the present market development and the main problems of HDTV business,and then used the market positioning theory d to determine the target market,and put forward specific marketing strategies including the product,channel,promotion,price,etc,.The findings showed that the key problems of development of the company's HDTV market are a single HDTV product,no effective product mix for the target user group,lack of sale promotion,a single marketing network channel,lack of partners,and lack of flexible pricing strategies.In response to specific target markets,the following marketing strategies are proposed: classifying product categories for target users,diversifying promotion strategies,increasing marketing service outlets,broadening cooperation partners,and formulating corresponding product pricing strategies.
