Internet of Things is a network system that connects people,objects,and servers,which is a kind of extension of Internet.With the popularization of intelligent terminals and the rapid development of information technology and artificial intelligence,smart devices based on the Internet of Things technology have gradually entered people's lives,and smart lights and smart speakers are everywhere.In the near future,there will be tens of billions of smart nodes accessing the Internet.However,Internet of Things(IoT)is a huge network and its security challenges should not be underestimated.Security chips with high security,real-time performance and low power consumption can play a key role in the security of IoT.At present,China has proposed a series of commercial cryptographic algorithms to ensure information security.Integrating the secret algorithm into the security chip can help IoT devices realizing the security functions such as data encryption,decryption,signature,verification,and so on.In recent years,the physical unclonable technology has gradually matured.The physical unclonable function(PUF)implemented on the silicon chip,which uses the physical randomness generated by the manufacturing process deviation of the chip and extracts the feature that is uniquely related to the object.With this feature,the corresponding object can be uniquely identified,and this feature cannot be copied because the deviation in the production process cannot be duplicated.The PUF based on semiconductor technology has the properties of non-replicability,uniqueness,stability,and immune intrusion attack.The IOT security chip using PUF technology can greatly improve the anti-counterfeiting and anti-attacking capabilities of IoT devices.In this paper,a security chip used for IoT is designed in combination with 32-bit low-power CPU,SM2/3/4 algorithm,PUF circuit,true random number generator(TRNG)and peripheral interface,using AMBA.The security chip we designed was fabricated using SMIC 110nm process.Finally,we tested the samples and analyzed testing result.Following is the specific research content of this article:According to the security requirements of IoT devices,we defined the architecture of security chip and the functions of various security modules.Through analyzing the structure and function of the AHB bus system,we allocated the address space for each module and designed the AHB bus interface IP.Using this IP,we integrated security units into SoC system.Based on the traditional arbiter PUF circuit,a configurable arbiter PUF circuit is proposed and designed.VCS simulation,FPGA verification,and chip performance testing and analysis.Finally,this paper summarizes the research results of this project,analyzes the deficiencies in the design,and prospects the application of the security chip we designed.
