Hosting Skills Of Grass-roots Interview Programs

Chinese broadcast television industry was born in the late 1950 s.As a symbol of its birth,the first television broadcasting station---Beijing television broadcasting station started pilot,and many TV programs arose at that historic moment.Since then full-time television announcers and hosts have been in demand.However,all of these are not real interview programs until Straight Talk appeared in 1996.After that plenty of interview programs sprang up.With “grass-roots immersion” advocated in 2012,a group of grass-roots interview programs came alive.But compared with celebrity interviews,interviews at the grass-roots level are not that popular which is because of the column planning,post production and especially the host.This thesis first analyzes the characteristics of interview programs from the pace of column,features of topic design,and the visual making-up.At then focuses on the characteristics and bottleneck of the host,that is,the lack of professional ability,humanistic spirit and distinctive characteristics.Based on these characteristics and challenges,this thesis expresses nine proposals from three aspects: bridle-wise professional skills,role exchange communication skills and individual skills.Finally,it summarizes host skills of interview programs at the grassroots level and predicts the development trends in the future.
