Phased array radar,as a new radar system,is the most basic and important radar.It is because of the phased array radar with high precision,multi-target and multi-functional features,studying the system becomes very complex.Phased array radar which has been developed with actual hardware is difficultly applied in modern military.Besides,it costs a lot.Clutter is an inevitable part of phased array systems,extracting target feature information from the echo and suppressing clutter are extremely meaningful research.Therefore digital simulation technique is necessary,building simulation platform,phasing report of system simulation,and evaluating the system are some main steps of this research.It supports warfare simulation and data information for phased array radar on aircraft,ships and other real application platforms,making researchers have a deep understanding about the working mechanism of phased array radar.Under the background of simulation of phased array radar coherent video software,clutter suppression techniques and some key modules on the system are put into research and implementation,therefore a proper simulation system needs to be designed.It is a unique point that the effectiveness of moving target detection technology applied for suppressing clutter on the system is implemented.The main work content and innovation are as follows:(1)According to the requirements of phased array radar,a simulation system scheme is designed,which includes the plot machine,master computers and area array computers.According to the work process,the system is divided into signal generation module,echo module,signal processing module and other modules.(2)To realize the function of suppressing clutter in the signal processing module,clutter characteristics of amplitude probability density function and power spectral density are studied.Principle and method of moving target detection and experimental comparative analysis for suppressing clutter provide validity of the technology applied in the system.(3)Focus on modeling and designing radar signal generation module,echo module and signal processing module,along with specific programs to make the system implemented.A perfect phased array radar simulation system is built through the combination of each module,which is controlled by a plot machine,a master computer and area array computers.(4)Main functions of the designed phased array radar simulation system is tested,including war issue,array parameters configuration and signal processing.According to studies of moving target indication and detection in the dissertation,as well as target tracking accuracy and clutter suppression factor,a conclusion is made that such clutter suppression technology is well applied in the signal processing module on the phased array system.The innovation points are as follows: A simulation system is designed to function as real radar equipment,reducing study and product cost.Target tracking accuracy and clutter suppression factor are put forward to verify the validity of clutter suppression technology.A simulation system scheme with multi-target and multi-functional features is designed,which includes some main modules.The effectiveness of moving target detection technology applied for suppressing clutter on the simulation system is verified.
