Comparison Of Literary Form Between Sino-American Newspaper Commentaries

The news commentary is a style that is targeted,plausible,narrates arguments,and directly expresses opinions.It has a clear external surface,inner knowledge methods and thinking formats.External forms are the basis and externalization of internal forms,internal forms are the extension and deepening of external forms,and they are interdependent.From the perspective of stylistics,this article uses text analysis and comparative analysis to reveal the reasons for the different styles of Chinese and American news commentaries.It is a rational and objective view of news commentaries with Chinese characteristics,and at the same time captures the United States.This article selects some of the news review articles of the People's Daily and the New York Times,as well as the Pulitzer Review Awards and the China News Awards.Through the reading and analysis of textual materials,the types of stylistics,the specific stylistic patterns,and the expression styles to explore the cultural connotation behind the news writing in the two countries.The cultural connotation of the news reviews between China and the United States have been drawn.It is embodied in the following aspects:collectivism and individualism,awareness of level and equality,spiral thinking and linear thinking,comprehensive thinking and analytical thinking,value judgment and fact judgment,institutional arrangements and natural personal combinations.The analysis finds that cultural thinking has a great influence on news commentary.For example,in the sense of collectivism,the classification of news commentary in China is relatively small,and it tends to cause excessive emphasis on forms while ignoring content,which limits the critics' establishment of a personalized style.The comprehensive way of thinking makes reviewers value value in writing and ignore facts.The U.S.news commentary has many places that we can learn from,such as analytical thinking,focusingon the use of facts,and making good use of facts.In the construction of news commentary and writing,China should attach importance to the influence of cultural thinking,and on the basis of affirming Chinese characteristics,learn from the advantages of Western news commentary.
