As a new generation of wireless LAN standards,the IEEE 802.11 ax standard aims to improve network quality in high-density scenarios and provides users with more high-speed and more stable transmission rates.Based on the existing 802.11 ax research in the laboratory,the Network MIMO network architecture is studied,with particular emphasis on the design and implementation of soft MAC for AP of Network MIMO prototype,including research and design of interation progress,module design and implementation of AP side and so on.The design goal of the Network MIMO prototype is to verify the overall control and interference coordination effect of the central controller on the WIFI network.The Network MIMO prototype could control the phase and amplitude of the multi-antenna transmission signal to achieve that undesired reception point signals power is zero and the desired point signal is not zero,through multi-AP network coordination,so that multiple streams can be sent and received at the same time.The design and implementation of Soft MAC is researched in this paper mainly include three parts.In the first part,we analyze the overall functional requirements of the soft MAC part of the Network MIMO prototype,design its overall interaction flow scheme and interactive protocol format,and propose the goals that should be achieved.The second part,for the overall framework and the overall interaction process,gives a specific module design architecture,analysis of each module design principles and its specific implementation,which based on the zero-copy architecture of the Linux kernel provides an efficient communication platform for information exchange processes The design and implementation of the AXI_DMA driver ensure efficient communication between the embedded system and the underlying FPGA module.In the third part,the soft MAC function is verified and tested,and the module is unit tested.Finally,the soft MAC is integrated into the overall system to perform a phase of the target verification test.The soft MAC design and implementation of AP provide technical support for the completion of the project "Network MIMO prototype design and research".
