With the rapid development of communication field and the continuous improvement of semiconductor technology and processing level,microwave spectrum resources in higher frequency band are being developed.As receivers for communication receiving equipment,people are more concerned about their receiving frequency range and volume.The purpose of this paper is to design a miniaturized RF receiver front-end with ultra wide frequency range.In terms of performance and volume,the receiver front end is divided into two parts.The first part is a broadband RF receiving unit that receives the frequency range below 6GHz and contains common communication bands.The second part is the UWB(Ultra Wide Band)RF receiving unit with the frequency range of 6GHz and nonlinear transmission line(NLTL)technology.In this paper,the structure and principle of the common receiver are introduced in the design of the wide Broadband RF receiving unit.Then the eight frequency band preselector is introduced,and the frequency division,performance simulation and measurement analysis are carried out.Finally,in order to improve the dynamic range and sensitivity of the receiving unit,an external channel amplifier is designed.In this paper,several key technologies are studied and analyzed in the design of UWB RF receiver unit.Firstly,the key technology to realize miniaturization and UWB receiving,NLTL is studied.The structure,characteristics and application of NLTL are discussed and analyzed in detail.Then,the pulse generator and frequency doubler based on NLTL are studied and designed.Using the characteristics of NLTL pulse compression,a pulse signal generator with pulse width 55 ps is designed.The two frequency doubler with a base frequency of 8GHz-10 GHz is designed by using the character of the width of the NLTL matching band.Then,the sampling gate circuit is designed.The harmonic sampling is explained in time and frequency domain,and the simulation and analysis are carried out.Finally,the performance measurement and analysis of the whole machine are carried out.
