With the rapid development of society,video surveillance system has entered the era of network surveillance.High-definition,intelligence,miniaturization,and wide viewing angle have become new goals for the development of network surveillance system.In the traditional network surveillance system,the monitoring angle is generally between 45 degree and 130 degree,which cannot meet the requirements in a large public place.In more and more public places,the surveillance system is required to be able to achieve panoramic viewing with 360 degree.At the same time,H.264 and MPEG-4 coding technologies in network surveillance systems have problems such as low compression rate and high network transmission bandwidth requirement.Therefore,an encoding technology with higher compression ratio is urgently needed.In this paper,a 360 degree wireless panoramic surveillance system based on the Hi3519 processor is designed for solving the problems of narrow field of view and low video resolution of traditional network surveillance system.The system is composed of two parts,an image acquisition terminal and a monitoring terminal.The image acquisition terminal uses a catadioptric lens,which can acquire a wide viewing with horizontal angle of 360 degree and a pitch angle of 55 degree.A HD video with 5 million pixels can be captured with the image sensor IMX178.Then the HiSilicon processor Hi3519 is used to implement the panoramic correction of video,overlay time and azimuth information and H.265 encoding.A a streaming media server is also built for image transmission.Finally,the video is transmitted to the monitoring terminals of a PC and a mobile phone through wireless Wi Fi network.The function and performance are tested afterwards.The result of function test shows that the system monitoring terminal can realize the functions of playing,capturing and recording video,and can display the time and position information.Experiments on the time delay and coding performance of the system show that when the H.265 encoding delay is similar to that of the H.264,the H.265 encoding can save average of 45% of the code rate in a static environment and average of 47% of the code rate in a dynamic environment,which can save nearly half of the net-work transmission bandwidth.It also shows that the H.265 encoding has higher PNSR value and better image quality.The system greatly reduces the size,enhances the mobility and flexibility by implementing all the functions by using the Hi3519 image processor introduced by HiSilicon in 2016,such as acquisition of the 5 million-pixel video,panoramic correction,video image processing,and H.265 encoding,and by transmitting the video by wireless WiFI.The features of high resolution and 360 degree viewing angle of this system makes it not only be suited to the field of security monitoring,but also to the field of criminal investigation,anti-terrorism,car panoramic imaging systems,industrial inspection.
