Interdisciplinary Topic Identification Based On Citation Relation And Citation Content

Interdisciplinary research can be divided into two groups:macro level overview and thematic research at micro level.Researchers pay more attention to the macro level,and less attention to the micro level.Interdisciplinary research on the macro level,however,is still unable to present an internal intersection,that is,the intersection of subjects.It is necessary to dig into the content level to explore the answers to interdisciplinary topics.In this paper,we take full text data in the field of disciplines as experimental source.We explore interdisciplinary topics based on the content of citation and based on citation relation and citation content.As for the interdisciplinary topic analysis based on citation content,we use normalized thesaurus.We first measure the degree of interdisciplinarity,then calculate the interdisciplinary degree at a topical level,finally explore interdisciplinary topics between disciplines under the scope of thesaurus.The results are as follows:(?)Different types of disciplines have different degrees of interdisciplinarity;and there are different intersections under the similar degrees of interdisciplinarity.(?)All six disciplines share abundant interdisciplinary knowledge with much medical theoretical basis knowledge but rare medical practical knowledge.(?)Three types of interdiscipline are observed:internal interdiscipline,instrumental interdiscipline,external interdiscipline.In the study of the interdisciplinary topic analysis based on citation relation and citation content,this paper combines citation relation and citation content to conduct interdisciplinary topic analysis.Among them,the role of the citation relationship is to determine the content of the interdisciplinary citation,and the interdisciplinary citation content is the text content of the interdisciplinary topic mining.We extract interdisciplinary topic from interdisciplinary citation content.The results show that there are three types of topics in interdisciplinary citation content.The meanings of this work are as follows.(?)The research method proposed in this paper improve the research of interdisciplinary topic and interdisciplinary measurement through the semantic enhancement of citation analysis.(?)The results promoting interdisciplinary cooperation among scholars.(?)The results provide support for researchers to choose research direction.
