In recent years,the rapid development of computer technology has brought tremendous opportunities for the development of dynamic terrain rendering technology.Rutting is a kind of terrain change that often appears in the technology of terrain rendering.The real-time rendering of dynamic rut is of great significance either in network 3D scene games or in military simulation.The study of dynamic terrain generally aimed at realistic and real-time.This paper mainly studied how to construct real-time rendering of rut realistical y,with the topographic data which are derived from the topographic elevation map.At first,GPU-based dynamic terrain rendering algorithm and material point method were studied.By analyzing the data structure of the dynamic terrain algorithm and the the process of solving geotechnical engineering with material point method,the insertion point of bring material point method into the geometry clipmaps algorithm was found.According to the background grid of material point method improved the data structure and update method of geometry clipmaps algorithm.Then the wheel physical model was improved based on the six component of the UniTre i model,which is easy to calculate the force on the ground.At the meantime,rut model was built through the material point strength reduction method.The use of physical theory enabled the physical models to satisfy the laws of real world.In order to meet the requirement of real-time rut rendering,the method of deformation map was used to realize the change of terrain data,and the appearance mapping of rut was completed by using texture mapping technology.Finally,the rut model using material point method to achieve as a validation object,using GCMM algorithm,achieved real-time rendering of dynamic track in the GPU-programmable rendering pipeline.After rendering,there were some contrasts between the GCMM algorithm and geometry Clipmaps algorithm which aimed at fidelity and real-time performance.According to the rendering of the result graph,the superiority of the material point method in dealing with the deformation of the terrain can be obtained.Through three specific parameters of the frame frequency,CPU utilization and the number of triangles,the feasibility of the geometry clipmaps algorithm of the fusion point method is verified.
