With the development of sensor technology,wireless communication technology,and related technology,the wireless sensor network technology put forward in the world in the 90 s has been further researched and developed on the basis of the original.In recent years,with the improvement of data acquisition methods,the research and application of wireless sensor networks combined with image processing have gradually become a research hotspot.However,there are still many problems to be solved in the process.Facing the lots of image data,the shortcomings of wireless sensor nodes such as energy,communication bandwidth,computing and storage capacity are more prominent.How to improve the utilization of wireless sensor nodes by improving image algorithm is the key.This paper selected the wireless sensor network technology as a starting point and set the license plate recognition process as the research object,through the platform of wireless image acquisition platform,construction of wireless image sensor network,improved license plate recognition algorithm and embedded wireless image sensor node real-time operation mode,explore the various problems encountered in the process that the wireless sensor network combined with image processing technology and the corresponding solutions according to the actual situation.The specific work of this paper as follows:1.Studied the hardware and software of wireless sensor network and the related knowledge of license plate recognition.Under the premise of grasping relevant basic knowledge,selected the license plate recognition algorithm suitable for the wireless sensor nodes,and completed the algorithm simulation on MATLAB.2.Further learning the software and hardware structure of wireless sensor node chip JN5168 and commonly used image sensor,and on this basis,according to the actual situation of this study,build a wireless image hardware acquisition platform,and then,build wireless image sensor network system.3.Study of wireless sensor network programming framework and programming technology based on the JN5168 chip.The license plate recognition algorithm which was simulated in MATLAB was optimized,and the optimized algorithm was embedded into the wireless sensor network node(JN5168).The license plate image acquisition,recognition,and wireless communication process were realized on the node.4.According to the actual situation of this paper,a wireless image sensor network debugging system is built on the basis of MATLAB.The image serial communication protocol between wireless image node and the upper computer is developed,and the function of receiving and displaying node image is realized by MATLAB,so that node image algorithm can be debugged.5.Under laboratory conditions,complete license plate recognition experiment based on wireless image sensor network.The wireless image sensor network node can collect specific license plate image.Completed license plate recognition process through the improvement of license plate recognition algorithm,and the recognition result is sent to the coordinator node of the wireless network through the network,the coordinator node via serial sent the result to the host computer to display.
