The subject of this thesis is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China(No.61471164),which is named Research on Algorithms of Network Reconfiguration of Software Defined Sensor Networks(SDSN).The SDSN which combines Software Defined Network(SDN)with Wireless Sensor Network(WSN),decouples the control plane and data plane of WSN.The SDSN serves as a new architecture for the flat and centralized network management to simplify management and enhance the network performance.In this thesis,a flexible and controllable Movement-assisted Software-Defined Sensor Network(MA-SDSN)is constructed by introducing SDN and movement-assisted node into traditional WSN.The MA-SDSN model consists of underlying network containing three kinds of sensor nodes,centralized controller and network virtualization layer.Firstly,a Markov chain based Movement-assisted Weighted Relocation(MMWR)topology control algorithm is proposed based on the mobility of movement-assisted node and centralized configuration of the controller.Simulation results show that MMWR algorithm can reduce the average transmitting delay and power and extend the lifetime of the whole network.Furthermore,a platform for research and development is built based on the designed MA-SDSN architecture.The movement-assisted node which can be controlled by controller is designed and realized as well as dumb node,software-defined node.Functions of MA-SDSN controller are designed in detail including topology discovery,dynamic networking,data acquisition and movement-assisted node management.The Southbound Application Programming Interface(API)is designed to provide a series of frames for communication between underlying network and centralized controller.The Northbound API is developed and demonstrated in general and in detail.The thesis is divided into five chapters as follows.Chapter 1 is the introduction in which the background and significance of the research work is described.Then the research content of the thesis is stated.In Chapter 2,the software-defined WSN and key technologies are introduced.Researches on WSN and topology control are summarized.After analyzing SDN and OpenFlow protocol,the MA-SDSN is put forward based on movement-assisted node.Chapter 3 proposes the MMWR topology control algorithm based on movement-assisted node after building the network model and generating the network topology.Then the performance of the algorithm is shown and analyzed.In Chapter 4,the platform for research and development of MA-SDSN is established.The movement-assisted node which can be relocated by controller is designed,and the centralized controller,Southbound API and Northbound API are implemented.Chapter 5 is the summary of the research work including future research directions.The platform for research and development of MA-SDSN in the thesis has been awarded the First Prize in the National Three-Innovation Competition in Internet of Things Technology and Application by China Institute of Communications(CIC)in 2017.
