With the development and popularization of 3D scanning technology,the oral data obtained by the scanning technology has greatly promoted the development of digital oral medicine.The oral three-dimensional model built by the digital geometry processing can help dentists to make better treatment plans for patients and has become a hot research topic.In this paper,we do related research and analysis on the digital geometry processing involved in digital oral and based on the technology and we developed a digital oral system.Around the digital oral,we describe the tooth model pre-processing,tooth model repairing and gingival deformation in this paper.The pre-processing of the tooth model includes the boundary repairing and the determining the local axis.Model pre-processing is the basis for the subsequent model processing.The quality of tooth model is concerned by the dentist.This paper introduces a template-based repair algorithm which can be used to repair the model automatically and finally get a complete closed tooth model.In the process of simulating orthodontics,the doctor needs to change the position of the tooth.At the same time,the gingiva needs to make corresponding deformation.In this paper,we discuss the problem of gingival deformation and provide the doctors two choices based on the actual needs,deformation in real gum models and deformation in virtual gums models.The deformation of the real gingival model is based on the Laplacian mesh deformation algorithm.The deformation of the virtual gingival model is based on the real-time calculation of the control point in the gum line.Based on the related technologies of digital geometry processing,combined with the modular design,we finally completed the development of a digital oral system.
