The new periodic corrugated metal surfaces can be considered as the two-dimensional structure with metamaterials.Its structure is mainly composed of periodic or quasi-periodic subwavelength unit cells,which have capable of controlling electromagnetic waves.Compared with the three-dimensional metamaterials,periodic corrugated metal surfaces have the advantages such as low-profile,compact structure,low loss,easy conformal etc.Therefore,the research of periodic corrugated metal surfaces structure has great academic value and application value in expanding sensor performance and miniaturization antenna.This paper focuses on the two aspects of the periodic corrugated metal surfaces,namely the spoof localized surface plasmons(spoof LSPs)and the Metasurfaces(MSs).The novelty and of this thesis is mainly indicated by paper publication and patient application,and the main contents can be summarized as:(a)A wheel-shaped resonator is designed based on spoof LSPs.The wheel type structure is excited by a microstrip transmission line,and a prototype of the sensor is designed.The device is very sensitive to the distance between two pieces of dielectric substrate.The sensor can be applied to the sensor in addition to detecting physical parameters,and it can also detect the thickness of the measured material.These features increase the function of the sensor and expand its application field.(b)A novel step-shaped metasurface(SMS)have been proposed in this paper,we analyzed the equivalent circuit of its unit structure;Using the characteristic of the same phase reflection of the matesurfaces(MSs),and applying it to the monopole antenna.By analyzing the electromagnetic characteristics of the unit structure to study the influence of the parameters on MSs.The research shows that the reasonable MSs design can improve the antenna characteristics and achieve the purpose of miniaturized antennas.This method provides more space for the development of antenna miniaturization.
