The main purpose of this thesis is to study the bus lane detection algorithm and vehicle recognition algorithm through processing the video of on-board camera,and finally apply the PC feasible algorithm to the embedded on-board equipment.Lane detection and vehicle recognition algorithm based on digital image is the core of the software environment construction.And the design and implementation of recognition system of vehicle for violation of traffic regulation on bus lane is the final results of this thesis,which provides a set of solid,effective and powerful solution to modern wisdom in the urban public traffic management.In this thesis,the main work includes:(1)Study the image preprocessing algorithm to provide theoretical basis and technical support for the design and implementation the of recognition system of vehicle for violation of traffic regulation on bus lane.It mainly includes image denoising algorithm,edge detection algorithm,the binary and grayscale algorithm in mathematical morphology.And smoothing denoising algorithm is mainly discussed which includes the neighborhood averaging method,median filter and gaussian filter method.Moreover,the primary difference between Roberts Laplace operator,Prewitt operator and Sobel operator is deeply studied.(2)Explore and research lane detection algorithm and vehicle recognition algorithm.In the lane detection algorithm,the thesis mainly discusses the straight line extraction method and the lane line detection method based on Hough transform.Hough transform method can extract straight line from complex images to find road lanes and determine the road area,which provides possibility for vehicle recognition.In the study of vehicle recognition algorithm,the detection method based on HSV color space is mainly studied.It firstly convert video images from the RGB color space to HSV color space,then according to the characters of vehicle tail light,it detect the vehicle tail light from H hue component,finally through the detected vehicle tail lights to determine the candidate area of the vehicle.(3)Complete the design and implementation of recognition system of vehicle for violation of traffic regulation on bus lane.It mainly includes the overall design,job process,software environment design and hardware environment configuration of the front capture subsystem,design and management of the back-office management subsystem.Moreover,the main algorithms and code are detailed introduced.
