Recently,The Internet Data Center(IDC)have been constructed and developed in a large scale,following with high energy consumption and heavy pollution.In order to minimize such problems,it's development goal has changed into energy saving,water saving,green and low carbon.PUE,that is power usage effectiveness,which is created to measure the energy consumption,attracts an increasing attention and numerous efforts had been made to lower it.Immersion mineral oil cooling Technology,which is also called the oil cooling technology have achieved great success and gained some large enterprises' favor.About that Technology,We only know that the mineral oil has very high thermal conductivity,insulativity and boiling point and the oil cooling technology is benefit for the environment,with low carbon,dust-free,not noisy,not corrosive and has no regional restricts.From google's report,By submerging the series into mineral oil,the data center's PUE has decreased into 1.02?1.03,which is the lowest record.Thus we call it Low PUE Technology.However We cannot found the Related articles or essays which reveals relevant performance parameter and index.As our laboratory will construct a new high-energy Physics DC,the paper did some experiment to study them.As we all know,the temperature of the server rises with the increment of power consumption,if the neighbouring mineral oil can heat up rapidly,the Data Center's cooling effect could be very great.The smaller the temperature difference between the server and nearby mineral oil,the better performance of the oil cooling technology.That's why the temperature difference between the server and mineral oil is an important performance index in oil cooling technology.Based on that index,the paper made a related experiment.First of all,some temperature field simulation had been made to find the possible factors.Then the testing platform had been designed and set up,including the testing,monitoring and analysis programs.Finally the paper made the stability tests and influencing factors tests.The results show that it's stability and performance in condition of cycle refrigeration effect is good.The paper discuss the performance of oil cooling system,which not only played a positive role in promoting that Immersion mineral oil cooling Technology,but also provides reference for the development of DC.
