In the background of the revolution of media technique and the popularization of digital reading,benefiting from the accompaniment of sound transmission,fitting the fragmented life style and discontinuous reading scene of modern readers,contributing to relieving the anxiousness and visual tiredness resulted from reading,audio books have become a new growing point in the field of digital publishing.Audio books in the new media era present the development trend of diversified content resources,mobile communication channels and lower average age of the audience.The paper defines audio books and cultural transmissibility as well as the association between audio books and cultural transmissibility.On this basis,the paper analyzes the development strategy of audio books from the perspective of cultural transmissibility.The paper analyzes the current situation and problems of audio books centering around the three main factors of cultural transmissibility--the cultural value of the content resources,the cultural radiant power of the communication channels and the cultural identity of the audience,based on the observation,research and comparative analysis on platforms and communication channels of audio books.Following the influence factors of cultural transmissibility,the paper discusses the development strategies of audio books from three perspectives: content construction,channel construction and listening experience.In the perspectives of content construction,we should adhere to the cultural orientation in selecting the contents of audio books and promote the audio adaptation the classical publishing resources by attracting the participation of the publishing houses and the innovative transformation.In addition,more attention should be paid to strengthen the cultural orientation of the quality management of audio books and the evaluation of the social benefits.As for the construction and expansion of channels,the paper is committed to promoting the cultural influence of the communication platforms,and creates a universal reading atmosphere through participating in reading activities among the whole people,traditional cultural education,and urban public cultural services.As far as listening experience is concerned,the effectiveness of cultural transmissibility can be improved utilizing the media characteristics of audio books,including its being concomitant,emotional and storytelling.By optimizing the interactive means of audio books,the reading experience can be improved,the reading habits and cultural atmosphere of listening to audio books can be popularized.The paper focuses on the roles audio books play in carrying forward the traditional culture,popularizing the whole people reading,promoting reading among the whole people,popularizing the culture of listening to audio books,and establishing a new cultural communication position and a spiritual living space,so as to provide some theoretical thinking and suggestions for the sound and orderly development of audio books.
