For any industry sector,intelligence is its everlasting development goal,and it is also the unrelenting pursuit of human beings.Since 2016,a series of applications based on artificial intelligence(AI)technologies,such as products,services,and platforms,have gradually begun to be commercialized.The number of terminal devices for Internet of Things has also shown explosive growth,which means the intelligent process of social life and the concept of media intelligence emerged.The combination of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things(IoT)is generally considered to be the fourth technological revolution following the steam revolution,the mass production revolution,and the information technology revolution.It is also the third wave of the development of the information industry following the computer and the Internet.Its emergence and development is widely regarded as a direct driver of intelligence.As the world's largest mobile internet market with the largest number of netizens and the most mature commercial applications,China's Internet industry has a unique advantage in data flow resources in the intelligent transformation,and at the same time lacks the data mining and reinforcement that competes with the world's AI technology leaders.This will become a prominent contradiction on the way to intelligentization in various industrial fields.Baidu,as one of China's three Internet technology giants,relied on the search engine-driven information flow business ecosystem to monopolize the search engine market in the early days of the Internet era and mastered a large amount of search traffic.However,continuously missed the mobile Internet era several times,Baidu is now on the AI battlefield and cannot afford any loss.Thus,Baidu intend to take the lead in the deployment of artificial intelligence,trying to grasp the initiative in the era of artificial intelligence competition.It is precisely for this reason that Baidu is chosen as the research object in this paper.Through the three levels of intelligent changes,namely,concept intelligence,ecological intelligence,and product intelligence,I will explore the outstanding advantages and disadvantages presented in Baidu's intelligent development process in order to give the industry and researchers corresponding inspiration.This paper,through the combing of the pattern of China's mobile Internet market and the demonstration of the basic conditions of intelligence,points out the necessity of the development of media intelligence,and places the focus of attention on the Baidu intelligent choice.Like other participants of the AI battlefield in China,although Baidu holds the traffic resources brought by the search portal,even as the earliest large-scale tech giant investing in the field of artificial intelligence,it is unavoidable to show its emphasis on commercialization and application.The fact that the scene has landed and the AI core technology algorithm is relatively weak is a microcosm of the overall development characteristics of the artificial intelligence field in China.At the same time,social issues such as social ethics and ethical privacy are also issues that cannot be bypassed in the AI technology enabling industry or social intelligence development process.This will bring AI developers,sociological researchers,and even ordinary participants to participate in more philosophical thinking.
