Research On Construction Of Cognitive Context Of Voice And Its Functions

Voice is the first program oriented as an open class for young people in China,which is of distinct views,interactive communications with multiple guests and high participation degree of audiences,and it has received a good reputation from the public once broadcasted.The part of Voice in which guests of the program give speeches and tell their own experiences and stories provides a common cognitive context for the audiences of the program,and there are also interactions and communications with difference main bodies at any time,under such cross communications,construction of cognitive contexts of difference main bodies and the functions of cognitive context on the dialogues were researched.Cognitive context is a new concept in the pragmatic theories,which is contained in the scope of psychological theories and is relatively abstract.Among the former theoretical researches on cognitive context,many scholars tended to compare the differences of constituent with traditional contexts.While for the talk shows with Voice as representative,parts of scholars are also used to analyzing the frame and structure of the programs from the view of radio and TV theories.And there are few researches on language and pragmatics of talk shows.This thesis emphasized on the construction of cognitive context in Voice,analyzed how the cognitive context was constructed from2 aspects,namely the addressor and the listener,and then summarized the methods and skills to construct cognitive contexts to provide assistance for the discourse comprehension.Thereinto,when analyzing the aspect of functions of cognitive context of Voice,the 4 kinds of functions of it,namely the linking function,the speculative function,the restrictive function and the filtering function had a certain guiding function on a better understanding of discourse comprehension.What supported the program not only contained the frame,structure and shooting method of it,for talk shows,language is a priority.The functions of cognitive context in verbal communications and the relationship between communication main bodies andcognitive context were discussed in this thesis to provide guiding significance for a better launch of functions of cognitive context in communications.From the view angle of pragmatics and with the dialogues in the program as corpus,researches on the construction and function of cognitive context provided assistance for the development of talk shows.
