Using stationary industrial read device to collect Data Matrix code images,mostly included in complex background,and will be affected by some external uncertain factors.And the Data Matrix code's characteristic makes some general processing method can increase the workload.So accurately location from the complex environment and tilt correction Data Matrix code is the research emphasis in this paper.In this paper,a new algorithm for locating Data Matrix codes in complex environments is proposed based on the common scenarios of Data Matrix code.In the initial location,this paper proposes a fast adaptive binarization algorithm is combined with the Lo G operator for edge enhancement method.Maximum highlight the Data Matrix code region and weaken some background and noise.Then bar code area to be selected by template matching to obtain the initial location.This initial locating method is applicable to the initial location of any barcode and has wide applicability.In accurate location,according to the Data Matrix code detection graphics "L",for the convenience of subsequent tilt correction,a modified Hough transform is used to test the area to determine the region of Data Matrix code.This paper designes a tilt correction algorithm based on Data Matrix code characteristics.By the modified Hough transformation to obtain the endpoint information of graphics "L" and the two sides of the detection graph "L" are respectively represented by vectors.By comparing the cross product of two vectors and the size of the zero value,the rotation angle of the Data Matrix code are determined.Then combine with the interpolation method to finish the tilt correction of the Data Matrix code.Different from traditional algorithms,the tilt correction algorithm in this paper is characterized by a single rotation to recover the Data Matrix code with the lower left side of the probe graph "L".It does not result in an unanticipated correction result because of the skewed Angle of the Data Matrix code.The algorithms proposed in this paper solves the problems of Data Matrix codes in complex environments and the problems caused by the skew of Data Matrix codes to the subsequent identification.In industrial environment Data Matrix code provides a solution to the practical application problem.
