This paper improves the preprocessing algorithm after reading and learningreference and many scholars’ image preprocessing algorithm and the main content isas follows:First, introduce bar code technology which is applied in the field of automation,including its advantages, the classification of the bar code and its reading equipment,and then analyze the situation of bar code technology at home and abroad.Second, come to the important part of QR code: gives the origin of the QR code,symbolic features of QR code symbol, its advantages, application and research statusof QR code, QR code encoding and decoding theory.Third, as QR acquisition is vulnerable to location environment like unevenillumination, the paper gives an adaptive dynamic threshold algorithm. It can segmentthe image which will be take binarization threshold, then use Otsu algorithm to geteach small images’ threshold, then connect parts between blocks together with Matlabfunction block. Through reading a lot of references, we found the image edgeinformation we extract with the traditional classical edge extraction algorithm can notmeet the requirements of the practical application, especially when the illuminationuneven.Finally, with reference to fast response matrix code of the People’s Republic ofChina national standard, and introduces the basic process of QR code decoding andRS error correction code decoding algorithm. And it is collected after mentionedabove on the Matlab image processing and get the pretreatment of the imagepreprocessing algorithm. In addition, the work made a brief summary and targetedplanning further work.
