Wireless Mesh network is a completely different from the traditional wireless network.It is a new type of broadband wireless network structure,which is a kind of distributed broadband wireless network with large capacity and high efficiency.With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,new wireless network technology has emerged as the biggest bright spot in the field of wireless communications in recent years.The traditional wireless network(WLAN)is a kind of single hop wireless network,which has many problems such as low scalability and poor robustness.The wireless Mesh network(WMN)is composed of Mesh terminal and Mesh router.Among them,the wireless Mesh router is a network architecture and backbone network with the wired network.These wireless Mesh routers and wired networks provide a multi hop wireless network connection for the wireless Mesh terminal.The multi hop network model can completely solve the traditional network scalability and low robustness of many problems.At present,many countries have applied the wireless Mesh network to the digital city,wireless monitoring and other fields.The characteristics of the wireless Mesh network can not only expand the coverage of the wireless network,but also improve the bandwidth capacity and communication reliability.It is a very promising technology for wireless networks.This paper is mainly based on the need of the wireless network in the campus of a certain college,and a new scheme of wireless network is built by using the technology of wireless Mesh network.According to the design of the campus wireless Mesh network,the architecture and protocol of the wireless Mesh network are discussed.In the design strategy,the architecture and deployment strategy of wireless Mesh networks are mainly studied.The main research is the backbone network(i.e.,wireless Mesh network framework),the end user frame structure of wireless Mesh network,and the structure of wireless Mesh network based on relay.2,according to the campus wireless network application,research the IEEE802.11 networking technology and wireless Mesh technology,as well as the wireless MAC network Mesh protocol based on IEEE802.11.3,wireless Mesh network media access control and wireless Mesh router protocol,as well as wireless Mesh network channel allocation strategy.4,according to the actual situation of a university,such as building distribution and user needs,etc.,to the detailed design and deployment of wireless Mesh network,the main use of MSR2000 and MSR4000 2 wireless router on the campus indoor and outdoor network deployment.5,according to the design scheme,using the NS-2 network simulator to simulate the part of the simulation test,and the design of the campus network to carry out the actual test.And according to the test structure can be determined by this scheme to solve the network instability encountered in this university,often broken network,lack of bandwidth and campus wireless network coverage and other issues,to achieve the desired goal.And for this university after the campus network expansion and temporary wireless network coverage and other issues to provide a good foundation and convenient conditions.As a new type of network technology,wireless Mesh network has a very strong advantage,but at the same time,there are many problems in the actual deployment of the new technology.Therefore universities in the end did not input comprehensive network transformation,but with the wireless mesh network is widely attention and research,these problems will be solved.This paper also wireless mesh network deployment development has laid a good foundation.
