With the rapid development of virtual reality technology,keyboard,mouse and small touch screens are unable to compete with large screens and multi target information input technologies in the virtual reality area.This thesis discuss a target location testing system using ultrasonic and four corner location algorithm in close plane of two-dimensional plane,which can be used in the information interactive technique in virtual reality,as well as information collection and information input.The testing system based on a single-chip embedded system.The detection and location technology of close range plane acoustic target can be used on a relatively small desktop platform,detecting the distance of interactive input point using ultrasonic detection,working alongside with certain communication protocols,then uses wireless signal to locate the target.Detecting and locating system consists of three major parts: the upper PC transmitter,the ultrasonic transmitters,which are located on the four corners of the desktop platform,and the ultrasonic receiver that embedded in the target.The upper PC transmitter processes the collected information,including the temperature compensation,error compensation and location algorithm using Matlab.Then calculate the coordinates of measured target in the two-dimensional plane after processing the collected information,getting the precise location of the measured target on a desktop platform.The thesis emphasizes on the four corner location algorithm of close plane and the communication protocol of the positioning system,describes four corner location algorithm by mathematical method,tests programs of four corner location algorithm with MATLAB,designs the communication protocol of single-chip embedded system,including the format and content of protocol,carries on the logic simulation of the communication protocol,designs the positioning experimental circuit with ultrasonic,makes the ultrasonic ranging experiment in close range plane,and analyzes the reasons of location error.The results show that four corner location algorithm can be used for positioning on target in close range plane.The communication protocol within the single chip microcomputer system can be applied to communication between the processor and the targets.The ultrasonic ranging technology can be used on the desktop platform.Targets can be detected and located in close range plane combined with the four corner location algorithm,communication protocol and ultrasonic ranging technology.
