The visible imaging system can image the visible light information which is reflected from the object.The previous researches mostly focus on the spatial frequency as well as the resolution of the black-and-white images.In recent years,the wide application of color TV imaging system in military and civil fields,which plays an increasingly important role in target detection and recognition.Therefore,more and more attention has been paid to the research of the performance prediction model of the visible imaging system.In order to get a more objective and accurate evaluation method,starting with an in-depth analysis of the principle of the color generation of the light source,an objective testing and assessment method of image processing was established.The research result of this thesis is as follows.First of all,two methods are present to evaluate the color resolution in this paper.The computer software evaluation method can be used to evaluate the target images of different spatial frequencies by image processing instead of the visual evaluation.The evaluation method of the static performance model is put forward.The evaluation index of the color resolution was the minimum detectable color difference(MDED),the minimum recognized color difference(MRED),the noise equivalent color difference(NEED).Secondly,for the sake of synthesizing the accurate color through controlling with the computer.This task analyzed the principle of color generation,explored the relationship between spectrum and color and established the transformation model.Then,the objective method modeled the definition of Johnson criterion and the human eye vision features,using the image processing method to measure and calculate the evaluation parameters.Through theoretical analysis and experimental measurement,we canget the evaluation parameters MRED,MDED and NEED of visible imaging system.Finally,It is concluded that the error analysis of the experiments can meet the requirement of precision.
