High-resolution color imaging technology is widely applied in the field of spaceremote sensing. It has many significant applications such as earth observation fromspace, environment monitoring, national security, city construction e.t.c. In recentyears, with the development of small satellite, high-resolution color imagingtechnology based on small satellite attracts heed of different countries.One of the key problems of color imaging system is how to restore image coloraccurately, preserve image details and recovery original scene factually. It directlyaffects imaging results. This project based on the research of small-sized visible-lightcamera which is developed by Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, introduces aset of high-resolution color imaging system. In this project, we focuses on imagecolor restoring and color correction. It’s necessary for the further application of colorimaging system in the future.Firstly, the purpose and significance of this project is presented, both foreign anddomestic development and application of high-resolution color imaging system areintroduced. Secondly, due to meet the needs of high-resolution color imaging system,we select Cypress’s color CMOS sensor VITA25K to construct imaging system anddiscuss this sensor’s driving technology in detail. Thirdly, this paper has studied colorinterpolation and image denoising algorithms and proposes a method based on55window which is denoising first and interpolation later. Fourthly, image colorprocessing pipeline is designed and every step is described. Image processingprogram is fulfilled with C language by the Mircosoft Visual Studio2010softwaredevelopment kit. Fifthly, we do some imaging experiments and analyze the results ofcolor imaging system.The innovation points lie in:1.Aim at the application platform of small satellite, this paper proposes a complete high-resolution color imaging system design scheme. Hardware system isbuilt and image processing program is fulfilled. The results show that: color imagingsystem works well, and we get color images of high quality. The foundation forengineering application on color imaging technology is provided by this study.2.This paper analyzes the effects of the order of interpolation and denoising onimage quality. A method based on55window is proposed, which is denoising firstand interpolation later. This method not only removes impulse noise effectively, butalso preserves more details in an image. Image color processing pipeline is designed,by which image color is more close to original scene.
