This study includes a general analysis of consumer behavior in e-commerce in Colombia.Recently,as the new role of digital commerce is affecting consumer decision-making in the region, online consumer behavior has undergone atypical changes compared with the usual spread. The purpose of this study is to identify the determinants of general population samples that affect different ages and cultural, socioeconomic categories. After that, some motivations and attitudes to understand the views of consumers in Colombia on e-commerce are evaluated. The method of achieving the result is quantitative through a series of tools, such as the questionnaire survey and research of the government entities. The data are quantified by statistical analysis to provide the understanding of the problem. The general survey shows that consumers in Colombia are still traditional because of use of physical payments channels.Trust and perception of online payments are increasing;however, due to the lack of mobile payment applications, some of the attitudes of Colombian consumers prefer to buy offline. The broad implication of this study is that the size of the samples used limits the extent to which the results are correctly acquired and interpreted. For future research,we should consider the potential impact of using mobile devices to assess the impact of mobile commerce on consumer behavior in Colombia.
