The COVID-19 disease shocked all countries. The epidemic has affected many aspects, including the development of e-commerce and digital technology.Quarantine measures have also been used by many countries, which has caused some small and large companies to suffer losses. Many of these countries cannot escape economic difficulties.Other countries have to reconsider their views on Internet trade and retraining from traditional stores to online platforms. But the income of a company depends on the behavior of consumers and their purchase preparations.E-commerce in Russia has always been the subject of research because of its slow Russian e-commerce has always been the subject of research due to its slow pace of development. The term "e-commerce" began to be used much later in Russia than it became familiar to people in developed countries. It can be said that with the advent of the Internet in Russia,E-commerce has developed in relative leaps. This effect was caused by many factors influencing the development of this sector, such as the large extent of the country, logistics problems and even the lack of maturity of Russian customers to shop online. The current situation has forced consumers and sellers to start using Internet platforms or increase their usage. The current e-commerce situation in Russia is different from some other countries, which is of interest to researchers. The first part of the thesis is to discuss the problem theoretically. The comparison of the development of e-commerce in Russia before and after the epidemic will be analyzed based on previously released research and data.An analysis of the evaluation of the online market in the Russian market is also very important.Since the development of e-commerce in Russia has been greatly affected by online shopping behavior, one of the main hypotheses of this research is that the new coronavirus epidemic has affected consumers' online shopping behavior, which has led to the rapid development of e-commerce in Russia. The empirical part of the dissertation addresses the issue of the impact of?ovid-19 on consumer behavior.A survey was done for this research.Data processing uses mathematical statistics. The results of the survey will be processed by an analysis program to derive changes in online shoppers' behavior. The conclusion is that relative changes in customer behavior have an important impact on the development of e-commerce in Russia.
