The depths of the sea is rich in treasures,and many unknown mysteries.As a necessary weapon to build a maritime power,underwater vehicle can help mankind to stride to the deep blue advance.The underwater vehicle work in the marine environment with highly nonlinear and time-varying hydrodynamic performance,precision of hydrodynamic have an important influence on their safety,economy and applicability.Therefore,in the research process of underwater vehicle,the designers need to carefully study and based on the hydrodynamic characteristics to design it's linetype and hydrodynamic layout(maneuverability).This article is aimed at the hydrodynamic performance and movement of the underwater vehicle.At present,the numerical simulation method based on computational fluid dynamics which can better deal with viscous flow problems was elected as an important tool to study the hydrodynamic performance,this method can not only get the hydrodynamic coefficients,at the same time also can get the pressure field,velocity field and wake field,designers can intuitively find the effects on the flow field around of the shape and possessed.In this paper,based on the general computational fluid dynamics software—FLUENT,the hydrodynamic simulation of selected underwater vehicle is carried out,using Matlab curve fitting to calculate the first-order hydrodynamic coefficients of space motion,and the approximate calculated verifies its correctness,which provides the reference data for the investigation of the maneuverability of underwater vehicle.As for the underwater vehicle,only with good maneuverability,can both steadily and rapid control of underwater robot's course and speed,just to avoid all kinds of obstacles to accurately perform various maneuvers.In the early design stage of underwater vehicle,it is necessary for us to establish the correct equations of motion in order to predict its hydrodynamic characteristics and maneuverability.Considering the structural characteristics of the underwater vehicle,a six degree of freedom dynamic simplified model is established according to the external force,then carried out a detailed calculation and analysis of the stability of its level in the vertical plane,and the motion state of several typical of the final simulation,control performance of the advantages and disadvantages of AUV made a preliminary prediction and comprehensive evaluation.So far,a number of research about underwater vehicle is encouraging,but there are still many key technologies have not yet broken through.And one of the difficult problems which restricted break a number of key technologies is the hydrodynamic problems,be badly in need of a large number of domestic experts engaged in research on hydrodynamics more committed to the research of this field,to promote China's underwater vehicle t technology leap forward.
