3D display visual is an important development trend for the future display technology because it is more natural and realistic.Integral imaging 3D display has so many advantages that it has become an important research topic in the field of 3D display,such as it can work with no auxiliary equipment and coherent light;can provide real three-dimensional real-time three-dimensional images with full parallax,continuous view and full color,etc.This paper studies the optimization of micro-lens array and preparation of large-scale micro-lens array,then a large-scale,high performance integral imaging 3D display prototype is obtained.Specific research includes:(1)Preparation of pinhole/micro-lens combination array and analysis of its characteristics for integral imaging.This paper proposes pinhole/micro-lens combination array in order to reduce the effect of stray light on the reconstructed image of integral imaging 3D display system,then simulation and optimization of it's integral imaging 3D display system were carried out.The preparation for the optical performance of the micro-lens array combined with inkjet printing and lithography was studied,and an integral imaging 3D display prototype was set up.The experimental results show that when two droplets were printed in a lithography groove,the micro-lens array with diameter of 419.3 ±0.49?m,height of 27.4 ±1.17?m,focal length of 1.60mm,were prepared.The prepared micro-lens array is most suitable for the integral imaging 3D display,the pinhole array can effectively reduce the effect of stray light on the reconstructed image,and obtain high-resolution reconstructed image,but the image brightness decreases.(2)Preparation of square micro-lens array and analysis of its integral imaging characteristics.In order to improve the resolution and brightness of reconstructed images at the same time,this paper designs and optimizes square micro-lens array,screen printing was applied in preparation of high performance square micro-lens,the optical properties of micro-lens arrays were regulated by optimizing the screen parameters,the reflow and deformation time of photoresist,etc..Then an integral imaging 3D display prototype was set up.The experimental results show that the integrated image 3D display prototype with square micro-lens array has improved image clarity and brightness compared with the prototype with pinhole/micro-lens array.The square micro-lens array prepared by screen printing has a good homogeneity,the height and side length uniformity of 5.4%and 1.4%respectively.The duty cycle of micro-lens array is more than 90%,the spot area after focusing is 0.27%of the area of the micro-lens and the focal length is 3.1 mm,it shows it square micro-lens array has a good optical focusing performance.The 3D display prototype with a square micro-lens array has a brightness increase of 28.9%compared to the brightness of the reconstructed image using a combined micro-lens array.(3)Preparation of large-scale micro-lens array and analysis of its integral imaging characteristics.The hydrophobic properties of the substrate,parameters of screen and parameters of printing were obtained by optimizing screen printing process.The experimental results show that the degree of external expansion of the droplet is inversely proportional to the size of the contact angle of the substrate,and is proportional to the static deformation time of the UV resin.In this paper,the large area(20 inches)micro-lens array were successfully prepared,the integral imaging 3D display prototype with large area and high-performance was obtained.In summary,this paper optimize the structure of micro-lens array by combing with computer simulation and inkjet printing,lithography,screen printing and other advanced micro-processing technology,the micro-lens array with good optical properties was successfully prepared,then the integral imaging 3D display prototype with with large area and high-performance was obtained,it can effectively solve large area micro-lens array preparation problems of today's integral imaging 3D display;...
