Multi-granularity optical switching that based on the traditional exchange had overcome the poor factors in the complexity of the cross connection structure, the limitations of the scale and the unfavorable factors, which will become an inevitable trend in the development of the future optical switching. The traditional wavelength switching technology, as the number of the wavelengths increases gradually, the management and the implementation of the exchange structure also become very complicated. The exchange pattern of the proposed fusion with the WBS technology and the MG-OXC effectively reduce the consumption of the ports number, but because of the limitation of wavelength continuity, the reduce makes the node business channel lacking of flexibility. Considering of the multiple granularity based on optical code switching system can get rid of the constraint of continuity, the simplify routing setting can effectively improve the flexibility of node business channel, So this paper will study of OCDM traffic grooming technology based on three layer Multi-granularity optical switching system. Specific content as follows:First of all, it introduces the development history of optical switching technology, expounds in principle of the optical packet switching, optical label switching and multi-granularity optical switching, and especially emphasizes the advantag e of multi-granularity switching structure.Secondly, by having a comparative analysis on the single and three layers of multi-granularity optical switching system, it studies three layers of more granularity on refactoring features of multiplexing equipment/multiplexing equipment solutions and structures. On the routing level, it expounds the multi-protocol label switching(GMPLS) and the light codes of multi-protocol exchange(OCS- GMPLS), then, it has some description on the multi-granularity switching channel part and the classification of all kinds of business channel.Finally, this paper focuses on the business channel of the three layers of multi-granularity switching system. For multiple business request routing, port number of consumption, routing and light wavelengths of the code set, it puts forward to the scheme which is of the lowest consumption of port number and is not limited to the shortest path routing. It also has a system analysis to the establishment of the connection of the link that requested and the wavelength matching way of tree, on the basis of the analysis, this paper constructs the multiple layered auxiliary structure chart(MLAG), and to implement by the examples of the relevant algorithm that introduced.
