Due to the development of cloud computing,big data and mobile Internet,the main application of optical fiber communication from center of telecom operators to the data center,the data center market has become the main driving force of growth in market demand for photoelectric device.The current cloud and data center servers support 10 GbE network interface,but with the promotion of data center's high bandwidth and low cost interconnections between servers and switches,10 GbE will soon become a bottleneck.Compared with the present standard of 40 GbE,25GbE can achieve lower cost,lower power consumption and higher density.In addition,the transfer to 25 GbE need not a change in structure,and driven by the demand for large scale data centers,25 GbE is gradually becoming an industry standard.This thesis designs a 28Gbit/s photoelectric devices used in data center,which is suitable for single 25 GbE SFP+ access port,can provide 28Gbit/s error free transmission,and the transmission distance can reach 100 meters in multimode fiber.It's based on the application of 32 GFC,the optical interface accords with the regulations of 3200-SN in FC-PI-6,can be applied to high-density 25 G Ethernet switches and network interfaces,and promotes the server connection of data centers.It is a more cost-effective solution to upgrade 10 G Ethernet connection.This thesis starts from the key material selection such as VCSEL(Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser)chip in TO,discusses the design and manufacturing process of TO;And then through the analysis of multimode fiber single lens coupling theory,simulates the optimal coupling position and tolerance range by ZEMAX,finish the disign of device;Finally,completes the routine testing and reliability testing of the device and the verification testing of module,the rationality and commercial performance of the design can be verified by the test results.
