The Design And Development Of Examination Management System

Examination management system is an important part of educational administration management system,which generally includes tasks such as examination registration,examination room arrangement and grade management.It plays an important role in educational administration management.In recent years,along with the domestic college expansion as well as the demand brought by credit reformation,it is required that the examination management system must be able to support flexible examination timetable mode,and the existing examination management system based on traditional class cannot satisfy the requirement of modern educational administration.It is necessary to design and develop a new system supporting credit reformation with reasonable allocation of limited resources,to make the examination process management more scientific,normative and unity,to ensure the accuracy,seriousness,normative,and resource sharing of test information.Examination management system designed and developed in this dissertation starts from the practice of South-Central University for Nationalities,no longer considering the administrative class as the unique factor of timetable conflic test to adapt current credit system.The system supports flexible timetable arrangement modes including pre-arrangmement mode,student as the test factor of conflict,adaption to multi-course arrangement sinultanueously,supporting students to apply an examination through the Internet,and supporting auto or auto with human-aided mode examination arrangement.The system adopts B/S structure and SSH technology,using Java as development language,and MySQL as the database.System includes functions for administrators,such as configuration of examination information,examination tasks management,proctors arrangement,test results output and test papers print module;for teachers and students,varies test information query functions.Contents of this dissertation includes:(1)According to the research background and the requirements of South-central Univeristy for Nationalites,the requirements analysis of the system are conducted to obtain the motivation and functions of the system.(2)According to the system requirements analysis,conducting system architecture design in detail,including system process architecture,system functions structure,system softwares architecture,system network architecture and database design.These architechtures lay a foundation for the development of the system.(3)Implement and test the functional modules of the system according to the system architecture design.In this dissertation,the examination management system has been applied online officially in South-Central University for Nationalities with strong usability interface and easy-to-operate aspect.Functions satisfy the demand of teachers,students and aministrators,avoiding the defects of former system and greatly improving the efficiency of the examination related jobs.
