Software Defined Network(SDN),as a new network architecture and network example,is different from the traditional TCP/IP network;it is a kind of centralized network architecture, separating the forwarding from the controlling. However,SDN faces many challenges in the process of developing, such as the standardization of interface, interoperability, security issues, and the key performance and so on.But the most important is that the system performance,in current SDN networking, there is a large space to improve for the performance.Under the above background, this article mainly aims at SDN soft switches, putting forward two kinds of schemes for the performance optimization. The first one is a flow rules request processing scheme based on priority, the main idea is that the flow rules request message of SDN switches to controller should be handled in order of priority,in order to improve the access speed of certain delay sensitive business. The second one is to design a multithreaded SDN software switch, realizing the concurrent implementation of data channel and control channel. In that way,the switch can lower the packet loss rate and delay,so as to enhance switch's forwarding performance.First, this paper did some research on the performance optimization of SDN switches. Then,we propose a processing mechanism of flow rules request message, the mechanism is based on priority. We explain the detail design in this paper. From the forth chapter on,this paper presents the detailed design and implementation of the multithreaded software SDN switch. At last,we did some testing job, respectively are function test and performance test(packet loss, rate delay).Experimental results show that multithreading implementation of SDN software switch can promote the performance of the switch.
