Academic Journals' Influence Evaluation Research Based On Altmetrics

As a platform for academic communication,academic journals have been playing an important role in the process of scientific research.It is significance to carry out the research on the influence evaluation of academic journals.The influence evaluation of academic journals has always been the main content of metrological research.The evaluation system based on citation behavior is still an important way to evaluate academic journals at present.However,with the rapid development of computer technology and network technology,open access movement gradually rise,and more and more users start scientific research activities on the network.Under the circumstances,the traditional citation indexes ignore the scientific research behavior of the user on the network,so the traditional citation indexes have been unable to meet the demand of the evaluation.The emergence and development of altmetrics provides a new perspective for the evaluation of academic journals' influence.Based on the research status of altmetrics and the development trend of academic journals,this paper explores the feasibility of the evaluation of academic journals'influence based on altmetrics,and puts forward the evaluation system of academic journals' influence.On the basis of the above research,this paper chooses the academic journals in cell biology to carry on the empirical research,and uses the index data to construct the evaluation model,and then compares the evaluation result with the evaluation result based on the citation index.After the above empirical study,we can find the following three conclusions:Firstly,the evaluation results based on altmetrics and the results based on the citation index has a certain correlation,but the two results the two evaluation results also have some differences.Secondly,the evaluation based on altmetrics make up for the shortcomings of citation indexes,but there are some problems.Thirdly,it is feasible to evaluate the influence of academic journals based on altmetrics.The evaluation of academic journals' influence based on altmetrics has the unique perspective and research value,and it is also necessary to evaluate the influence of academic journals based on altmetrics.With the rapid development of altmetrics,scholars' research on altmetrics has been deepening.In the follow-up study,we need to expand the breadth and depth of the research,and also focus on the relationship between the evaluation indexes of altmetrics and citation indexes.Then,we constantly explore the potential value of altmetrics,and make continuous efforts to promote the development of altmetrics and academic evaluation.
