Research On Multiuser Distributed Virtual Reality System

With the development of virtual reality technology,the clients share the same virtual reality environment over a network connection,through the data exchange between different users,collaborative work has become an urgent need for people.In the field of traditional training and assessment,training method is single and boring.Therefore,it is of great significance and value to establish a distributed virtual reality system which is immersive,interactive,and highly ideological.Distributed virtual reality technology is computer network technology,communication technology,simulation technology and virtual reality technology and other interdisciplinary combination.In the DVR system,the clients in different location are in the same virtual environment,they interact and collaborate in time through the network,So the system has good expansibility.Equipment maintenance has always been a difficult point in the operation and maintenance of power plant.At present,equipment maintenance is based on the maintenance procedures or documents in most of the power plants.,although some power plants have established the management information system,but there is very little equipment information in the system,and the information is inadequate.So it is one of the urgent problems in the power generation industry to enhance the technical ability of maintenance personnel,improve the quality of maintenance,shorten the maintenance time,reduce the cost of maintenance.The system is aimed at the deficiency of the existing virtual reality system,the construction of a simple Distributed Virtual Reality Environment by using the concept of computer supported cooperative work,distributed technology,virtual reality technology,the consistency control problem of the role and entity has been solved in the system.It achieves Multi-user Collaboration by using data replication technology.This system not only to meet the needs of power plant maintenance people learning maintenance knowledge,but also help the maintenance personnel to determine the division and content of tasks.
