The rapid development of communication technology and the widespread using of smart phones have promoted the rapid expansion of wireless positioning services.At the same time,the demand for travel services for visually impaired people has gradually gained the attention of society.However,there are some common problems on system incompatible and expensive issues for current marketed or in the developing of blind navigation equipment,it is difficult to meet their needs.To this end,this thesis presents an blind help system based on Android phone,referred to as "mobile guide dog".Blind users only need Android phone and basic positioning function can avoid may exist variety of obstacles in the road in time to protect the safety of walking.This kind of mobile assisting blindness avoidance method is to store the road obstacle position information to the database in advance.To open the system when the actual use of the system,while the user access to the location,you can receive the warning issued by the phone in advance,so as to help users in time to avoid obstacles.The specific contents of this thesis are as follows:1,Analysis of the existing blindness helping navigation program,pointing out that the existing product deficiencies.2,For the shortcomings of existing blind walking navigation application and LBS technology development status,put forward a blind helping navigation method which only rely on Android mobile phone,to achieve cost reduction,simplify the using andsave resources of system development.3,The method is described in detail of the achievement of thinking and technical means,analyzing the entire system model construction and functional modules started from the demand.4,To achieve the design of the system in the three functions,including the system building,obstacles upload and reminder functions,and made a detailed description for the function of each module.5,To run the system in the Android phone,and made a functional test in the campus site,then collected the data.Verify the feasibility of the system.
