With the development and progress of the society, every country paid much more attention to the work and life of the blind and other disabled people, which promoted a lot of modern facilities’ s design and implementation to help them and these facilities have become one of the urban infrastructures. The blind has a significant proportion in this group. Nowadays, most of the blind navigations based on the sound wave ranging, which can just judge whether there’s a obstacle or the distance between the blind and the obstacles, and these can not give the lines to the blind, especially in the hospital and other indoor places. With the development of internet of things, RFID used in the navigation has advantages of the high precision, low cost, fast recognition speed, convenient implementation and so on, therefore, it’s a very meaningful work to design and implement the blind navigation based on RFID in the public buildings.On the basis of the background, the paper implemented the blind navigation system in the indoor places based on RFID technology by using the STM32F103RCT6 as the main controller chip. The system used the RFID to recognize the marked route information, then adopted wireless technology to complete the data transmission with backend sever, and calculated the shortest path by the sever and realized the interaction with the blind by the speech recognition and speech synthesis technology. The blind navigation system integrated perceiving the current position, calculating the path optimization speech the path, recognizing the users by the voice.The system based on the holding cane by the blind and expanded the guide rod function.The system used STM32 as the main controller panel and added a series of intelligent modules,such as: speech synthesis, speech recognition, wireless communication etc, at the same time,which integrated the RFID unit. The guide rod read the electronic tags by RC522 radio frequency identification module and transmitted it to the main module to progress. The main controller model used LD3320 speech recognition module to get the blind destination information; RF24L01 wireless transmission module communicated with NRF24L01 backend sever, transmitted the referenced route between the guide rod and the sever; the front broadcasted the shortest route by SYN6288 speech synthesis module and navigated the blind in the whole course, meanwhile, which corrected the blind walking routes automatically. Many sub-function modules under the main controller module worked in parallel and efficiently.The system integrated applications of embedded systems development, RFID technology and NRF24L01 wireless communication, LD3320 speech recognition and SYN6288 speech synthesis technology etc. The system tested in the laboratory, the main controller equipments,the modules and the program can run normally, which can navigate the blind in the large buildings.
