The continued growth of the network capacity and the rapid development of a variety of business models promote the next generation networks evolutioning to toward broadband networks.Due to the high Spectrum selectivity and the polarization sensitivity,coherent optical communication system has become a good solution for next generation networks.The coherent optical communication becomes a popular issue among the researchers.By the solution of how to compensate the physical impairment,this paper proposes a way that utilizes the polarization-time coding to compensating physical impairment,based on space-time coding technology.Aiming at the physical impairment compensating,this paper proposes a solution by utilizing polarization-time coding to compensate physical impairment.based on space-time coding,in combination of the polarization sensitivity,this paper achieved the double use of the both space and time resources.Aiming at the complexity of DSP technology,this paper proposes that utilizing polarization-time coding technology instead of DSP technology.This make the network reduce the costs without performance degradation.After study a varity of polarization-time coding schemes,this paper proposes a polarization-time coding technical solution with excellent performance,by considering both complexity and compensating performance.
