Higher information transmission rate, higher information capacity, higher frequency efficiency and higher reliability of information transmission are needed for The realization of personal communication's goal. So, many countries all have planned 3G and 4G mobile communication systems, and offered many key technologies. MIMO antennae system is one key technology which has enhances frequency efficiency and system capacity.Based on this, Space-Time Coding is offered, which can realize very high frequency efficiency and data transmission rate. So Space-Time Coding has been more and more applied in those sevices which supply high speed data transmission rate (such as video technology) and mobile computation of broadband wireless channel . Now, Space-Time Coding has been written into 3GPP standard. So far, the research on Space-Time Coding focuses on aspects : firstly, to make the algorithm itself better (such as, to ruduce the complexity), secondly,to combine Space-Time Coding with other technologies to form all kinds of high-speed wireless communication transmission systems. Genneraly, Space-Time Coding is combined with modem technologies and channel coding to form all kinds of the better systems. Finally, the development of the mobile communication technology of the world and china is introduced in the paper, and analyze the MIMO system and Space-Time Coding technology which are written into standard and applied. Space-Time Block Coding and 8PSK/8QAM+STBC transmission systems are researched in the paper under the condition of 2Tx and 1and 2 Rx, respectively. The result of monte carlo stimulation shows that the two systems are better than BPSK/QPSK+STBC transmission systems offered by Amoulti. Finally , the STC development is introduced: USTM(Unitary Space-Time Modulation) which does't need CSI . This is the most distinctive aspect from STTC,STBC and BLAST .
