In recent years,the new media service forms of taking the handset as the main carrier develops rapidly,performing in massive users,huge social impact,various emerging mobile media applications,which include mobile newspaper,mobile TV,mobile reading,cell phone client,mobile internet(WAP),etc.,among which mobile newspaper is relatively mature and stable.It is widely recognized in extensive dissemination,ease of use,low prices,and complete business model.Currently,three major Chinese telecom operators promote mobile newspaper service as an important media,and have accumulated a large number of users,among which China Mobile's user size is currently more than 43 million,with the circulation of 45 million,of which Morning and Evening Mobile News has the larges't number,which has reached 25.84 million at the end of 2010.After nearly 7 years' development,mobile newspaper has now entered a mature stage.At the same time,its successes and failures are also apparently revealed,which is worth to be analyzed in depth,in order to find the root of the problem and resolve it.So that it can better and quicken the development of mobile newspaper.China Mobile is the first telecom operator to provide mobile newspaper service.Its development scale and operation concept of mobile newspaper are significantly ahead of other telecom operators.As the head of the business,I have experienced every stage from the beginning to a mature stage of mobile newspaper's development,and have accumulated more experience and lessons,which have typical meanings and research value.These years,I am not only an editor and researcher of mobile newspaper,but also a common user and observer.These multiple identities help me to make in-depth analysis and reflection on mobile newspaper from a broader perspective.I hope that I can provide some reference for industry colleagues by applying the knowledge and methods into research that I have learned when I studied the EMBA courses in Nankai University.This paper firstly reviews relevant research progress of mobile newspaper among academic circles,and introduces the development status of mobile newspaper at home and abroad from all angles,including business forms,product types,business models,etc.,and then makes analysis on mobile newspaper users'basic characteristics,usage habit and reading preferences based on user survey data.Next,the author discusses the existing various defects impacting communication,from the viewing angle of an industry operator and participant,and puts forward some solutions.Some of these problems will be resolved gradually in future as product optimizing and technology upgrading,but some problems on product features are difficult to be resolved.The defect will exist for a long time,like the contradictions between the cell phone screen size and portability.Visual effect for big screen is good,but not easy to carry,and vice versa.Finally,this paper,taking mobile newspaper of China Mobile as the subject of study and organization support system as the core of the study,implements modern enterprise management knowledge to provide a comprehensive analysis of potential problems in mobile newspaper enterprise interior support system from four aspects of human resources,organizational structure,operational processes,security control,and proposes ways of thinking and solutions.This paper studies current development state of mobile newspaper and user's behavior,and discusses and analyses the spread effect of mobile newspaper,market prospects,and product strategic upgrading strategies.Particularly,this paper puts forward some thinking and resolutions for the organization support system problem of mobile newspaper enterprise,which hasn't been covered in the industry.Thus,this paper will provide reference and guidance for the industrial enterprise and participants.
