In the era of artificial intelligence,it is of great significance to cultivate children's computational thinking ability. However, there are fewer activities related to computational thinking in kindergarten. This study focuses on how to carry out activities related to computational thinking in kindergartens, whether children can accept these activities, what aspects should teachers pay attention to when designing the activities, and the methods to evaluate children's computational thinking ability. The main research methods include literature research, observation, case study and interview. On the basis of combining the theory of children's cognitive development and the relevant theory of computational thinking, this study aims to find the appropriate method to carry out activities related to computational thinking in kindergartens. This study summarizes and analyzes the activities of unplugged computational thinking and themed activities in kindergartens, and constructs the design model of themed activities of unplugged computational thinking based on the design model of related themed activities in kindergartens. The model includes four basic elements: the source, design, implementation and evaluation of computational thinking activities. The combined structure of these four elements is a cycle, that is,the cycle and continuation of source-design-implementation-evaluation.Based on this model, this study designed a program of unplugged computational thinking themed activities in the kindergarten of "I want to Go to Primary School".In order to test the feasibility of the theme activity model of unplugged computational thinking in the kindergarten, this study selected 12 kindergarten children as the implementation objects of the activity, and carried out a one-month teaching practice for them.By analyzing the data of practice results,we find that children have relatively concentrated attention, positive interaction, high completion degree of works, and good feelings ofparticipation in the activities of computational thinking. This shows that the teaching activities of computational thinking in kindergarten play an active role in the development of children's computational thinking ability. After the interview, the study found that kindergarten teachers and children's parents also hold a positive attitude towards the theme activities of computational thinking. Therefore, the design model of the theme activity of computing thinking in the unplugged way in kindergarten can be applied in practice.Through the analysis and reflection of the practical process, this study also found that factors affecting the theme activities of computational thinking include the difficulty of computational thinking activities, the interestingness and feasibility of operating materials, the participation form of computational thinking activities and the design of activity links. In order to effectively carry out the theme activities of computational thinking in kindergartens, this study proposes that the design of activities should follow the principles of taking children as the main body, reflecting the interest of enlightening education, combining activities with practical situations and diversified evaluation criteria. At the same time, attention should also be paid to selecting the optimal source of activities, providing materials according to individual differences, highlighting the principle of taking children as the main body, promoting relevant training for teachers, and encouraging cooperation between families and kindergartens. The innovation of this study is that it solves the problem of how to combine computational thinking with themed activities in kindergarten, and constructs the design model of themed activities related to computational thinking in an unplugged way in kindergarten. All these can provide practical reference theories and methods for kindergarten to carry out computational thinking education.
